Banango Rocket Pops!

Banango Rocket Pops
I love these little rocket pop molds that are so popular right now!  I got these at Bed, Bath & Beyond, but I've seen them at Pier 1 Imports, Target and even the grocery store, all for around $10!  Baby Bodhi isn't old enough yet to know what the ice cream man's music sounds like when he drives by our house every day, but I'll be prepared when the day comes.

I'd really like to monitor the amount of sugar and sweets he gets, and if there's something he really likes that I can make even better and healthier at home, well, I'll feel I've done my job as a mommy!  It will save daddy and me too, because I think I like sugar and sweets more than anyone!

These banana-mango rocket pops are super easy to make and have a great, smooth texture because of the super ripe bananas I used.  That made them easy to bite through for Baby Bodhi.  These little pops would be great for a summer birthday party or any big kiddo get together!  Enjoy!

Prep Time:  10 minutes / Freeze Time: 4 hours / Servings: 6 rocket pops

Serving = 1 pop
Ingredients:
  • 2 very ripe mangoes, pitted and peeled
  • 2 very ripe bananas, peeled
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
Steps:
    1. Combine bananas, mangoes, sugar and orange juice in a blender.  Blend on high speed for 30 seconds, until all ingredients are combined and smooth.
    2. Pour mixture into rocket pop molds.  Mixture should make 6 molds.
    3. Place in the freezer for 4 hours.
    4. To Serve:  Run molds under warm water for 5-10 seconds until plastic mold loosens and pops come out. Serve immediately.
